Terms and Conditions for the rental of the Barns of Château de Martragny

Reservation
To use the rooms at Château de Martragny, a prior request must be made to Mr. Médéric de Chassey (Tel: 0231802140) and then confirmed in writing using the rental request form provided.
Only rental requests received by CHASSEY SA at least fifteen days before the date of the event will be taken into consideration, barring exceptions.
Reservations become final on receipt of a deposit cheque for €1,600.00 and the written agreement of CHASSEY SA.
Invoices are payable on receipt by cheque or bank transfer, net and without discount.
Any request to change booking dates must be the subject of a written amendment, with the agreement of CHASSEY SA.
No modification will be accepted less than 8 months before the start of the service, except with the exceptional agreement of CHASSEY SA.
In the event of cancellation between signature and 8 months before the start of the service, 50% of the rental amount will be due to CHASSEY SA as cancellation indemnity.
In the event of cancellation less than 8 months prior to the event, CHASSEY SA will be required to pay the full amount.

CHASSEY SA will, if possible, propose a rescheduling of your event.
The deposit will be retained by CHASSEY SA and will be used for the rental of rooms for the new date agreed in writing.
Liability of CHASSEY SA
CHASSEY SA shall not be liable to any third party for any direct or indirect damage whatsoever.
CHASSEY SA’s services are limited to the provision of resources, and cannot guarantee the services provided.
In particular, for equipped rooms, CHASSEY SA cannot guarantee Internet-related services provided by external service providers.
Nevertheless, CHASSEY SA will endeavor in all circumstances to offer the most efficient service possible.
CHASSEY SA is released from all liability concerning all goods belonging to the hirer and left on its premises. These goods remain the responsibility of the tenant.
Tenant liability / insurance
During rehearsals, performances or events, the hirer is responsible for order, discipline, cleanliness and proper maintenance of all equipment provided by CHASSEY SA, including tables, benches, chairs and any crockery.
The hirer will provide the necessary personnel to set up, clean and tidy the furniture (chairs, tables, etc.).
The customer is responsible for all damage caused by the event.
The customer is requested to take out insurance covering the risks inherent in the organization of the reception. An insurance certificate stating the amount of cover must be submitted to CHASSEY SA before the event.
The situation
Prior inspection of the premises by the responsible hirer and a CHASSEY SA agent to check, depending on the room, the condition of the premises, electrical installations, equipment, furniture, sanitary and fire safety installations, decorations, various fittings, sound system, etc.
Special instructions
The hirer undertakes to ensure that his staff, participants and/or trainees comply with any instructions that may be issued by CHASSEY SA.
The tenant uses the premises at his own risk. He is responsible for maintaining order on the premises. The hirer is obliged to respect the maximum capacity of the room.
Depending on the site and/or rental hours, the tenant agrees to lock all accesses (doors, windows, bay windows and gates) and switch off lighting systems before leaving the premises.
In the event of theft or damage due to malicious intent, the lessee undertakes to reimburse the costs of replacement or repair, either directly or through an insurance company with which he has taken out a policy for this purpose.
Bans
It is forbidden – to modify existing decorations by painting, wallpapering or by nailing and/or stapling attributes that could damage said decorations, – to modify electrical installations or change their purpose, – for safety reasons and in compliance with current regulations (Decree 2006-1386 of November 15, 2006), to smoke on the premises.
Opening hours
The hirer formally undertakes to respect the agreed times.
Return of premises
The inventory of fixtures will be acknowledged by the responsible tenant and a CHASSEY SA agent when the room keys are returned, at the latest the following day.
The occupied premises must be cleared of all foreign materials and accessories.
Damage
Any damage observed (broken windows or electric lamps, broken furniture, torn, burnt or damaged drapes, curtains or decorations, etc.) will be charged to the hirer.
In this case, CHASSEY SA will invoice the hirer for the cost of repairing or replacing damaged equipment.
Stolen or lost items
CHASSEY SA accepts no responsibility for clothing or objects lost, left or stolen on the premises.
Return of keys
The tenant undertakes to return the keys given to him within the agreed time, without making duplicates.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the Caen administrative court has jurisdiction.
